Welcome to Novacon
Novacon is the UK's longest-established regional science fiction convention, held every autumn since 1971. It's built around a single-stream programme mixing both literary items and more informal events, with deliberate emphasis on social contact between sf fans and genre professionals. We had a new venue this year: the Park Inn, 296 Mansfield Road, Nottingham. NG5 2BT

Novacon 39 was delighted to welcome British science fiction and fantasy author Justina Robson as its guest of honour. Described by Zadie Smith as "a novelist of real vision", her latest book is Quantum Gravity: Selling Out. Every member of Novacon 39 received a limited-edition souvenir chapbook written by Justina.
