Welcome to Novacon

Novacon is the UK's longest-established regional science fiction convention, held every autumn since 1971. It's built around a single-stream programme mixing both literary items and more informal events, with deliberate emphasis on social contact between sf fans and genre professionals. We moved to a new venue in 2009: the Park Inn, 296 Mansfield Road, Nottingham, NG5 2BT (tel. 0115 935 9933).

Joining at Novacon:
You can register for the full weekend for £45.00. Day rates are also available: Friday, £10.00; Saturday, £20.00; Sunday, £15.00.
Discounted membership for Novacon 41 is on offer to anyone registering at Novacon 40.

Our Guest of Honour: Iain M Banks

Novacon 40 is delighted to welcome British science fiction Iain M Banks as its guest of honour. Every member of Novacon 40 will receive a limited-edition souvenir chapbook written by Iain.

In addition, we are pleased to announce Brian W Aldiss will be joining us as our special guest. Unfortunately, Harry Harrison is currently unable to attend, due to health reasons.
